What did you guys think of Spiderman 3? I thought it was quite good but slightly disappointing. Not as good as Darkman.

I am not sure if Spiderman is considered off topic here. Maybe there should be a board to discuss non-Darkman movies? At any rate, I haven't seen Spiderman 3 yet. I've heard very mixed opinions though.

I hated the first one but thought the second was pretty good. I'll be seeing Part 3 this weekend.

You know, I probably won't see this until it comes out on DVD. I've honestly heard some people say that it's embarrassingly bad. We'll see. Doesn't anybody else have an opinion of it?

I only mentioned it because it's Sam Raimi and there are similarities between this and Darkman.

I'll be sure to look for the similarities when I see it this weekend. The scenes in Spider-Man 2 with Dr. Octopus and his lab were very reminiscent of Darkman with his lab.

***Spoilers***
Saw this last weekend and enjoyed it. Much better than the first one but not the second IMO. It had some flaws but it kept me entertained. As for any Darkman nods, the only one I noticed was when Spider-Man's suit bonds with the symbiote, he examines one of his hands much like Darkman did in the first film after creating Pauly's fake hand.

I don't know if any of you felt the same but I thought SM 3 was the most classic Sam Raimi film in a long while.

It was an incredible disappointment to me. Both as a Sam Raimi fan, and as a Spider-man fan. I expected much better, and I hadn't even had high hopes in the first place, what with my strong unapproval of the Symbiote's and Venom's inclusion. With how this turned out, I'm worried with how Raimi will handle The Shadow now.

I'm anxious to see Spiderman 3. The first and second ones were really well done (as far as the storylines went anyway). However I'm nervous about seeing the third movie as I've heard some bad things about it.
Sam Raimi is amazing. I thought I'd seen a preview for a new horror movie he's directing. Has anyone else heard anything about it?
(If this is too off topic, just let me know... I apologize in advance).

I personally enjoyed Spider-Man 3, but opinions vary on everything.

Sam Raimi is amazing. I thought I'd seen a preview for a new horror movie he's directing. Has anyone else heard anything about it? I assume you're talking about 30 Days of Night? He isn't directing it, only producing. He's been producing a lot of sh*tty horror movies lately.

Of the movies Sam has been producing lately, I only saw The Grudge and I barely got myself through it. Very boring and weak movie IMO.
