As much as I would love that, it would have to be done PERFECTLY to do the movie any "re-justice". It has such a unique atmosphere, I highly doubt they could recapture that in a remake. I mean...they're remaking one of my other favorite movies "Short Circuit" and from the descriptions, it'll probably be a fail. They replaced Ally Sheedy and the "plucky female animal lover" arc with a little boy from a broken home.
