In an attempt to get some discussion going I've made this thread for discussion of Darkman III. So, what do you guys think of this movie? How did you like the plot? What did you think of Jeff Fahey as the villain Peter Rooker? How did you feel about the attempt at a more dramatic, emotional story for Darkman? If this thread goes well I might make one for the Return of Durant as well.

Darkman III (and the second for that matter) was just an okay film IMO. It felt rushed and at times looked cheap, but it was decent entertainment for the most part and I also enjoyed more of Darkman's character in action. The plot was decent but was in need of some more development and Jeff Fahey was also decent as Rooker although at times he was a little hammy and overboard (not his fault). I think the movie did a good job with the emotional aspect of Darkman though, with him disguised as Rooker and forming a relationship with his family. The movie also had some good action scenes in it, like the shootout and exploding barrels and the ending fight with Darkman and Rooker and the henchmen.
Overall Darkman III is a decent sequel IMO. I would give both DM2 and DM3 a 6/10.

Personally, I liked Darkman 3 better then Darkman 2. I simply thought that the third movie was more entertaining. Yeah Jeff Fahey was kinda over the top. But I liked how insane he was acting near the end of the film. This movie also had a more original plot then the second movie. It was a fun movie even though it obviously didn't match up to the first.

I agree that DM3's plot was better than DM2's, which felt like it was written in minutes. I found both sequels to be decent overall, and I enjoyed them for featuring more of Darkman's character.
I agree that Fahey was kind of cool at the end of DM3 when he became crazier. Who doesn't love "Welcome to Rookerworld!"?

I know that this is off topic but... I just noticed Jigsaw that it seems like you and I are the only ones that post on this board anymore. Where did everyone go? I guess that there isn't a lot of passion for the Darkman right now .

I noticed that too I've tried to get the discussions going myself but sadly there's not much activity if any on here anymore Hopefully we can get things rolling though.

If there were boards for more general discussions(current events, movies, games, etc), this place wouldn't be so inactive. I mean, there's only so much we can say about Darkman after all.

I agree. Having an off-topic forum would definitely increase discussion on here, and maybe also a forum for other movies besides Darkman.

Yeah, an off topic board would probabliy increase activity around here. It makes sense. Maybe if Vigilante comes back he can make one.

He hasn't been on here in a long time, but I agree that an off-topic forum would help to increase activity and that he should make on. Maybe a forum for other movies besides the Darkman series would be good too.
