I think this movie had inspired comics like for example Zetman and Shadow Lady by Masakazu Katsura where protagonists have a particular, exaggerated sense of justice.

Please, just forgive me... I don't know anything about Zetman and Shadow Lady. So they are Manga characters. I'm nuts for Anime and Manga. Just tell me about them and their affinity with Darkman. "Shadow Lady" looks like Darkman's best choice as girlfriend, doesn't it? Sure as hell, Darkman is not that much of a vigilante as many people tend to perceive him. He's moved by revenge ----> vengeance. Call it like you want, he's emotionally involved in everything which happens to him, and just doesn't care about other people anymore. That empathycal part of him is definitely dead.

...very personal and absolute revenge - justice. To say the truth, Shadow Lady she is a thief challenging justice, however it's always present disguise and metamorphosis themes.

I always liked the idea that Darkman and his disguises were a metaphorical, poetic way to say: "Justice - true justice - usually covers itself in order to not be perceived as what it truly is". Good insight, Zetman!

We can think to justice as institution an alienated revenge. These characters go over the formal limit that justice imposes to them.

That's sure...He's a smart punisher.
Zetman, for example, he looks for the answer about the real justice. He hates the justice as institution because it failed with him.

Well, I pretty much agree with Darkboy (Welcome aboard, kid) ... "justice" sounds like a good name surrounding no consistency. Of course, we're talking about a value.
